What is it?
Program Managers can map historical organisation units into the current year structure, ensuring that total resourcing is captured. This allows the university to report actual fluctuations in resourcing for a given area of managerial responsibility.
Where is this available in reporting?
Once the Reporting Organisation Structure has been created for your university, users will be able to toggle between 'Actual' and 'Mapped' organisation structures in collection reports, Point-in-Time applications and the Activity Collection Application.
Please let us know if there are additional UFAnalytics applications where you would like to have access to the ‘Mapped’ reporting view.
IT Centralisation reporting example
In this scenario, the Central IT portfolio has taken over IT support for the faculties of Medicine and Engineering.
Under the restructure, some staff moved into the central IT teams supporting Teaching & Research and other roles were disestablished:

Due to the IT restructure, ‘Actual’ reporting (above left) would show Faculty Office support decreasing and Central IT Support increasing.
By using ‘Mapped’ reporting (above right), we see Admin resourcing has continued to rise and Central IT Support has decreased in 2022 due to the efficiencies gained in the restructure.
